A Ruhan Pretorius spectacular ensured a comprehensive victory for Woodvale in the rearranged Premier League fixture at Ballygomartin Road.

Pretorius was unstoppable in an innings of 141 that lasted only 64 balls!
He blasted 11x4 and 10x6 in his knock that saw the Carrick bowlers wilt under the onslaught - Jacques Snyman's 4 overs went for 40 and CJ vd Walt managed to concede an equal amount in only 2.

Neil Gill collected 2 wickets, but they both came in the twentieth over when the score was already past 200.

With acting skipper James Hall dismissed in the second over it was Aditya Adey who added 193 with Pretorius, Adey collecting an unbeaten 53 along the way as the home side finished 211/4.

Jacques Snyman has been instrumental in Carrick's successes this season but he faced only three deliveries tonight.
A chance to mid wicket off the first which went for a boundary, then a single off his second before Adey removed him with the first ball of the second over.

The damage was compounded when Ferhan Saeed took the wickets of Michael Gilmour, who scored a typically brisk 29 off 13 balls (2x4, 3x6), Jeremy Lawlor and Alex Haggan in a four over spell that conceded only 20 runs.

With James Hall (3-11) mopping up the lower order, CJ vd Walt was left 35 not out as Woodvale ran out 103 run winners.

Woodvale's next League outing is on Saturday when Waringstown are the visitors to Ballygomartin Road while Carrick play at home to Brigade in the All-Ireland T20 semi-final on Sunday.
