Another day, another thriller, as Instonians once again got the better of fierce rivals CSNI in the final of the Banoge Cup at Queensway.

This time there was just one run that separated the two talented sides as Inst held their nerves in a tense contest.

Batting first the Shaw's Bridge side posted 84 for 8, with Harry Luke top scoring with 30, while the late runs added by Hugo Robinson, Robbie McAreavey and Lucy Ly were to prove crucial.

Luka Bates (2-7) was the most successful of the CSNI attack.

Bates (28) also top scored in the CSNI chase, with McVicker making 18, and in a contest that ebbed and flowed throughout it was Instonians that prevailed.

Finn Hollway picked up three wickets, Hugo Robinson two in the finale, while there were also wickets for Reuben Edmondsen, Luke Livingstone, and Ben Walsh - who also had a brilliant direct hit run out.

Another great advertisement for youth cricket in the region.
