It’s been an excellent season for Sion Mills and the Holm side have the chance to put some silverware on the table as they take on Letterkenny in the final of the Q T20 cup.

The two teams have been impressive throughout the campaign with little between them and Sunday’s clash promises to be a keenly contested affair.

“Since the start of the season the results throughout have shown Sion and Letterkenny to be the best two teams in the league and it’s fitting that both play out this final,” said Sion captain Simon Galloway.

“Both teams have met three times this season with Sion having a 2-1 advantage in terms of wins, but more importantly it was a tightly contested affair in the only meeting in the T20 format with Sion coming out victors by just four runs.

“We will be bolstered by a couple of players returning who haven’t played in recent weeks and are confident but aware of the opposition going into the tie.

“It promises to be a tight affair between two clubs who are much better than the division they are playing in so we expect a bit of a spectacle for all in attendance.”

Action at Burndennett gets under way on Sunday at 1pm.
