Irish youth international Daniel Forkin had a day to remember as he took a match winning four wickets to help Merrion maintain their unbeaten record.

The teenager claimed his first senior wickets on the way to claiming 4 for 21 as YMCA were bowled out for 83 chasing 151 at Angelsea Road.

Tim Tector top scored with 26, while there was two wickets also for Amish Sidhu and Jack Carty..

Merrion had been given a solid start with an opening stand of 70 between Jack Carty (42) and Stephen Doheny (32).

John Anderson continued the excellent start with 33, while Max Sorensen's late hitting took the home side to 150 for 5, which proved more than enough.


At Anglesea Road, Merrion beat YMCA by 67 runs
