Experienced all-rounder Ehtesham Ahmed is joining Rush for the 2021 season.

The former Karachi U19 player has enjoyed almost two decades in Leinster cricket, enjoying success at a host of clubs including YMCA, Terenure, Balbriggan and most recently Clontarf.

The right-arm medium pace swing bowler has taken over 200 wickets and scored nearly 4000 runs in his career to date.

"I am very happy with the opportunity to play for Rush and am looking forward to start at Kenure," he told CricketEurope.

"I can't wait. In the last 18 years playing in Leinster Cricket I have always enjoyed playing at Rush on and off the field with great cricket loving people of the area.

"I am also looking forward to play with experienced guys like Saddat Gul and Allan Eastwood plus young guns Neil Rock and Nathan McGuire.

"In the past few of the greats played at Rush from my country of birth, Pakistan, so it won't be easy to fill those boots.

"But I hope I can contribute as much as I can within my ability and the experience I have, and pass on to the young lads, which is the most important thing at this stage of my career."
