Clontarf have appointed former Indian Test captain and Coach Anju Jain as their Director of Cricket.

The 46 year-old takes over from Isobel Joyce, who stepped down following the recent birth of her son Jamie.

Jain played 8 Tests and 65 ODI's for India, appearing in a record four successive World Cup finals.

As well as coaching India, she has also been Head Coach of Bangladesh, and holds a Level 3 qualification.

"She will be a fantastic role model for all of our youth players and will continue on the excellent work done by Isobel (who will remain on the coaching team at Clontarf) over the past few years," Chair of Cricket Connor Darcy told the club Facebook page.

"As well as running and taking part in our youth coaching program, Anju will also coach our menís 1st XI and we look forward to great success on the field in 2021 and beyond."
