They will have to wait a while longer than the Northern Ireland based clubs, but Donegal side St Johnston and their captain David Lapsley can look forward to the campaign with optimism.
Returning to the Boathole are David Fleming and Matthew Orr who will be bring a nice mix of quality to the ranks.
However the loss of Nathan Cole to Instonians, plus Ramees Machingal and Rammohan Goud to fellow Donegal outfit Letterkenny are major blows.

There are however new talents emerging especially in the form of Irish youth international Scott Macbeth and opening bowler Scott Devenney, who both continue to develop.
"It's looking like another disjointed season especially for St Johnston with southern restrictions moving at a different pace to Northern Ireland but hopefully we can get started up sooner rather than later," said skipper Lapsley.
"In terms of player movement itís a disappointment to be losing three players who have been key men in the squad for the past few seasons but we wish them well.
"It is good however to have some new/returning faces back in the fold."
Let us hope it's not too long before the Saints can take their competitive place in the NW leagues and cups.
