Newbuildings continue to make progress on and off the field as they look to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the North West.

The Faughan Valley Cup holders will be looking for more silverware in 2021, and have added Glendermott all-rounder Ben Mills to their ranks, giving them an additional spinning option as well as strengthening the depth of their batting.

The batting line-up will be bolstered by the addition of former Ireland U19 international Ryan Hunter, while his brother Ross is back playing having been unavailable in recent seasons due to work commitments.

With Gareth McKeegan leading the side, plus inspirational all-rounder Johnny Thompson in their ranks, they will fear no side, especially at home.

"We have a really strong squad who if they play to their potential will be competing for major silverware ," said club Chairman Raymond Mitchell.

"We are also very excited about our youth who are starting to come through in large numbers and a few good players who will certainly help our seconds and thirds.

"There is a feel of real optimism about the club, especially as a lot of work has went into our field.

"Here’s hoping for an enjoyable season for the club and the North West region."
