After a disappointing 2020, Carrickfergus have strengthened considerably with four quality additions to their squad for the current season.
Jacques Snyman plundered 1085 runs at 54.29 in 2019, when his haul included no fewer than five centuries. He also chipped in with 24 wickets and his all-round class is evident.
Also joining are Northern Knights all-rounders Jeremy Lawlor, who has formerly played with Glamorgan and Graeme McCarter.
Lawlor was on the recent Ireland Wolves tour of Bangladesh, and is a top-order batsman and useful change bowler.
Former Irish international McCarter is bowling better than ever, and is a hard-hitting middle-order batsman who has the ability to clear the ropes.
A late addition is Ireland Wolves and former U19 captain Neil Rock, who is available from Rush on loan due to the delayed season in Leinster.
The left-hander is a superb attacking batsman and wicket-keeper adding further quality to a strong looking side.
"Carrick are looking forward to a full season and hopefully some 50 over cricket will be played," said Ryan Eagleson.
"Graeme McCarter and Jeremy Lawlor will bring added firepower with both bat and ball and will be out to impress the Carrick supporters as well as catching the eye of Irish selectors.
"Jacques Synman had a great first season and hopefully he can repeat those numbers again, while the loan signing of Neil Rock gives us a further boost for the new campaign.
Carrick will have a strong batting order with that quartet plus CJ van der Walt , Michael Gilmour and Alex Haggan ensuring we will bat deep.
"We have also been carrying out improvements at the ground so hopefully we see some sunshine and great cricket."
Carrick start their season with a home T20 match against North Down on Saturday May 8th.
