Irish international Gareth Delany has been ruled out of the Munster Reds squad for their interprovincial opener against NW Warriors at Eglinton tomorrow (10:45am).

The hard hitting all-rounder is injured and will miss Munster's first appearance in the 50-overs format.

Also missing is Malahide batsman Matt Ford from the core squad.

YMCA's Ireland Under 19 international Mitchell Thompson is drafted in to strengthen the  spinning options, while Northern Knights and Lisburn paceman Josh Manley adds quality to the seam bowling options.

Munster will be led by Irish international Tyrone Kane, while Curtis Campher is the other senior capped player in Ted Williamson's side.

The pair showed their class as they both scored 75 in a pre-season victory against Leinster Lighting last week.

One other player to watch is PJ Moor, the Zimbabwean Test player with an Irish passport, will keep wickets and be keen to impress on his interpro debut.

It's sure to be a tough test for the home side, who have named an unchanged squad from the 13 that lost their opening game against Leinster Lightning on Saturday.
