It could be a big season for Bonds Glen, who have a few new faces plus an exciting overseas professional.

He's Pakistani wicket-keeping/batsman, who averages over 31 in first-class cricket including six centuries, so he certainly has pedigree.

Mattie Barr joins from Glendermott, while another former Rectory Simon Killen is committed to playing this season.

Johnny Haslett with his sons

Club captain Johnny Haslett is confident ahead of the campaign, where as always youth will be an important part of their plans.

"The development of our younger players such as Raymond Curry, Ben Nixon and Sam Kincaid will be a priority and will all get their chances to continue improving.

"Of course with a good dollop of experience! It's important to have a few older heads about the place too."

Bonds Glen start their season with a home tie against Coleraine. Action gets under way at 2pm.
