Jacob Mulder is back at CIYMS having reversed his decision to go back permanently to his native Australia.
The 25 year-old, capped 14 times for Ireland in 2016/17, looked to have turned his back on Irish cricket, but answered a SOS from the Belmont club.
CIYMS had hoped to have Murray Commins for the season, but visa problems saw his registration declined.
Mulder has played 115 times for CIYMS, taking an impressive 153 wickets in that time.
He was straight into the action as CIYMS faced Carrickfergus and their in-form South African overseas player Jacques Snyman in the penultimate round of the T20 Cup.
