While the departure of Tyrone Kane is a huge blow, the arrival of Stephen Doheny and the return of Jack Carty mean the Anglesea Road side will once again be there or thereabouts when it comes to silverware.

Nicky Kenny is the Head Coach, while Tom Stanton (pictured) is once again entrusted with the captain's armband for the campaign.

"I'm really looking forward to the season and the return of cricket," said Stanton. "After such a limited season last year, we’re all just happy to back on the pitch and together as a squad again.

"We have two great additions in Stephen Doheny and Jack Carty, two very talented cricketers that are hungry for further representative honours and both are excellent mentors for our young players pushing for their first team debuts.

"Sean Stanton showed us what he is capable of with both bat and ball in the latter half of last season and we hope to see him take that into the coming campaign as he continues to push for further honours.

"Jamie MacNulty continues to impress with his pace and working with Nicky Kenny gives him an excellent environment to improve further. The work ethic of the Forkin brothers together with John O’Hara and Oisín Bhoja is a testament to each of them and I hope to see it rewarded with debuts for Daniel, John, and Oisín along with further caps for Peter over the course of the season.

"We also have a few more young players starting their season at Trinity where I hope they can take on greater responsibilities and bring their good form back with them when they return to us for the league campaign in July.

"We’re very happy with the balance and unity present in our squad and are looking to be as successful as we can in the reduced number of competitions."
