Fox Lodge remain in contention for a last four berth after a superb display with the ball saw them collect full points against previously unbeaten group leaders Eglinton.

Captain Aaron Heywood was delighted with his side’s resilience and character as the win means their semi-final aspirations are very much alive.

“It was a very strong performance on Saturday, especially with the ball and in the field to get us back on track after a disappointing defeat at Coleraine.

“Again, it was another low scoring game here like the last time we met Eglinton. However we had enough about us to grab a maximum point victory, thanks to a great effort from the bowling unit, backed up by an exceptional fielding effort.

“Pitches have proved to be quite slow early on this year as a result of the poor weather but we are working hard to adapt to that and it should stand us in good form moving into 40 over cricket.

“We will look to finish the T20 season strong this weekend and put ourselves in a position to top the group if other results go our way. Then our focus will move to the 40-over cricket which we can't wait to get back to.”
