It's been a turbulent and traumatic build up to the season for YMCA, with their future at Claremont Road hanging very much in the balance.

The gates remain locked, and for now the club will have to play all their fixtures away.

On the field of play, the side shows no changes from the team that captured the All-Ireland T20 title last year, with Jack Tector once again skipper.

His younger siblings Harry and Tim form the backbone of the batting, allied with the all-round talents of Simi Singh and the Anders brothers.

Mikey O'Reilly was a potent new-ball bowler, while spinner Cillian McDonnell was just pipped to the Man-of-the-Match award in the final win against Donemana.

"We are all really looking forward to season ahead," skipper Tector told CricketEurope.

"After a great season last year we are looking to do the same again this year.

"With our Irish players having a busy summer ahead our depth will be tested, but we have a strong squad of players.

"We are very excited to see both Cillian McDonnell and Mikey O’Reilly, who both had great years last year. Mikey led our attack superbly and he works very hard on his game, so I have no doubt he will do the same again this season."

YMCA open their campaign at Terenure on Monday.
