YMCA beat Rush for the second time in two weeks thanks to a fine bowling display which saw three wickets apiece for Cillian McDonnell and Bobby Gamble as the Kenure side made just 88.

Railway Union proved too strong for Clontarf as a half century for Hashir Sultan and 41 for Kenny Carroll saw them post 153 for 4. Andrew Vincent’s 27 not out the best of a Clontarf response of 107 for 6.

Callum Riches took four wickets and scored 31 as Malahide beat Cork County by 32 runs – 41 too for Alan Reynolds.

Merrion were 52 runs winners at home to North Kildare.

Michael Lewis top scored with 43, while there were 20s for Dom Joyce and Max Sorensen in their 131.

The chase never got going as Merrion captain Tom Stanton claimed four wickets – North Kildare limping to 79 for 6.

There was a thriller at Sydney Parade as Balbriggan made 135 for 9 thanks to 45 from Chris De Freitas – it was just enough too despite 72 not out from Theo Lawson and 27 from JJ Garth – Balbriggan winning by three runs.

North County skipper Eddie Richardson took three wickets and scored 27 not out as his side dismissed Phoenix for 62 – of which Stephen Moreton made 35.

The Hills gained revenge for last week’s loss to Dublin University in a low scoring game in College Park.

Nic Pretorius made 45 in the students 96 for 5. Mark Donegan responded with 43 but it took a desperate scrambled bye off the last ball for The Hills to claim the win.
