There were wins for Phoenix, YMCA and Pembroke in the Leinster Women's league on Monday night with Georgina Dempsey, Gaby Lewis and LouLou Little taking the individual honours.

Dempsey scored 39 in the Phoenix total of 156 for 6, with the in-form Lara Maritz top scoring with 51 from 38 balls (6 fours).

Sara Brophy (4-25) was best with the ball for the villagers.

Amy Hunter (55) and Caoimhe McCann (45) then shared an opening stand of 107 in 12 overs and it looked as if Malahide would coast to the win.

However the wheels came off the chase after the stand was broken with six wickets falling for just three runs in the space of 21 balls.

Dempsey then finished the game with a hat-trick, ending with 5 for 19 in the 32-run win.

LuoLou Little was the highest scorer of the night, falling one agonizing run short of a century, her unbeaten 99 helping Pembroke to 173 for 2, as she shared a century partnership with Shauna Kavanagh.

Merrion made 128 for 8 in the reply - Rebecca Stokell top scoring with 38.

Gaby Lewis also just missed out on a hundred, as she plundered 94 not out as YMCA beat Clontarf by nine wickets.

Lewis didn't trouble her step count too much as she hit 14 fours and cleared the ropes three times in her 46-ball innings, sharing an opening stand of 52 in four overs with Sarah Forbes (12) and an unbroken 87 in 51 balls with her sister Robyn (22*).

Clontarf's total of 138 for 6 was dominated by a second wicket stand of 86 in 12 overs between top scorer Isobel Joyce, who made 59 from 43 balls (8 fours, 1 six), and Aoife Brennan who hit five boundaries in her 51.
