KILLYCLOONEY TO MEET ST JOHNSTON IN SPERRIN SPRINGS FINAL

Killyclooney and St Johnston will meet in the final of the Sperrin Springs Cup on Friday (July 30th) at Burndennett.

Killyclooney put their relatively poor league form behind them to totally outplay Premiership side Coleraine in an eight-wicket semi-final win earlier in the month. They are a side packed with talent and ideally suited to the short form game.

“We are all really looking forward to a chance to win some silverware,” said captain Timmy Dougherty.

“We are at full strength for the game, with a number of our players individually performing over the last few weeks. W are hoping that we can all come together on Friday night and make it happen.”

St Johnston have enjoyed a consistent season and they held their nerve to reach the final in their win against Glendermott. The Saints are another team who enjoy the short form and have plenty of all-rounders and power hitters who can win a match on their own.

Action at Burndennett gets under way at 6.30pm.
