FOX LODGE LOSE OUT TO ARDMORE IN Q4 CUP
Fox Lodge Thirds were beaten in the Q4 T20 cup final by 10 runs in a tight game at The Bleachgreen against Ardmore.
Batting first, Ardmore scored 114 for 6 with Steven Barrow top scoring with an unbeaten 40, and Paul Brolly making 27. There were two wickets apiece for Ritchie Devine (2-13) and Jordan Cochrane (2-20), while Mollie Devine and Jordan McIntyre were the other wicket takers.
An opening stand of 49 between Jordan McIntyre (35) and Jordan Austin (25) looked to have put the Ballymagorry side on track for victory, but three wickets for Tommy Logan (3-13), plus tight spells by Paul Brolly (1-19) and David Bradley (1-15) swung the game firmly back in Ardmore’s favour.
There was almost a sting in the tail as with 21 needed off the last over, Richie Devine (24*) hit a six and four to leave 11 needed from three balls, but despite his best efforts, Ardmore clinched the win.
