Heinrich Malan will resist the temptation to give ODI debuts to the uncapped quartet in his squad ahead of the tour opener on Saturday.
He may have been tempted to include Lisburn left-arm spinner Matthw Humphreys for the first time, but the 20 year-old looks likely to have to wait for his chance to impress along with Fionn Hand, Ben White and Tom Mayes.
Mayes only arrived in Bangladesh yesterday so his exclusion won't come as a shock. Also on the same flight to Dhaka from Dublin were Ross Adair and Craig Young - the hokey cokey nature of Ireland squads for this tour again in evidence. He was in, then out, now in again - will he shake it all about?
Paul Stirling's recent T20 form may have fallen away but the Belfast man is still a formidable presence at the top of the order in the ODI game. His haul of 5230 runs in the format at 38.74 includes 26 fifties and 13 centuries - a runs aggregate almost twice as many as any other in the squad - skipper Andrew Balbirnie (2665 @ 33.31 next).

Stephen Doheny will accompany Stirling in the opening slots with the Dubliner impressing in making 84 in his debut series against Zimbabwe.
Balbirnie offers a reassuring presence at three, while Harry Tector is enjoying the sort of run cricketers dream about. He is averaging over 50 in his 26 ODI appearances, scoring eight fifties and three hundreds in his last 15 innings.
Curtis Campher fills one of the all-rounder slots at five, while George Dockrell will look to bring his T20I transformation into the one-day arena. Whether he gets much of a chance to add to his 93 wickets in the series remains a question, but given the nature of conditions, then he may well do, especially if Humphreys is omitted.
Lorcan Tucker gets the gloves and with PJ Moor in Bangladesh and Neil Rock waiting in the wings too, the Pembroke man will be keen to cement down the number one keeper slot.
Gareth Delany's power hitting and leg-spin is a useful weapon and hopefully he can bring the form shown in the warm-up win into the series.
Andy McBrine was the star performer with the ball in that win, and the Donemana man will be keen to showcase his wily ways in Sylhet.
The two frontline seamer slots will be taken by Mark Adair, whose bowling in the longer white-ball format - 32 wickets at 38.03 - hasn't been as prolific as his T20 expolits, with Graham Hume sharing the new ball.
The last ODI series in Bangladesh back in 2008 was one to forget - a 3-0 series whitewash which saw Trent Johnston relinquish the captaincy to William Porterfield.
There's no doubt the 2023 series has the potential to be equally as tough for Andrew Balbirnie's squad against an in-form Bangladesh.
However, there are more important battles ahead - Ireland will be hoping to gain some insight for the World Cup Super League clashes in Essex in eight weeks time.
