There will be four Dublin sides in the Irish Universities outdoor tournament following Dublin University's 108-run win over UCC at The Mardyke.

The win was set up by half centuries from Leinster Lightning all-rounder Gavin Hoey and John O'Hara.

Hoey top-scored with 78 from just 56 balls (6 fours, 2 sixes), sharing a 5th wicket stand of 82 in 10 overs with O'Hara, who hit four boundaries in his 50 - also from 56 balls .

Mikey O'Reilly (19) also chipped in as the Dubliners made 204 for 6 in their 30 overs.

Kunal Singal took two wickets, while Matthew Brewster and Chetan Rai both took 1 for 36.

Muhammad Rizwan made 30 in the Cork reply, but they never threatened their target, dismissed for just 96 in the 20th over.

Leinster duo O'Reilly and Hoey took a combined five wickets, while the other successful bowlers were Oisin Ward (2-1), Paddy Duffy (1-20) and John Gibbons (1-20).

The first semi-final on Monday sees UCD taking on DBS (11am), with the second on Tuesday at the same time featuring Dublin University and TUD.

The final is scheduled for Wednesday May 31st at College Park.
