Bready will need 214 to lift the League 4 Cup when play resumes on Saturday - a tough ask against a Donemana side who have kept control on the first day.

30's from a trio of teenagers formed the backbone of Donemana's first innings total of 163 for 7 with Ryan McClintock (37), Jacob Black (36*), and Roy McGerrigle (35) all batting well.

Two other teenagers - Bobby Moore (3-20) and Archie Mutch (2-37) were the pick of the Bready attack in a Donemana total of 163 for 7.

Charles Crumley (21) and Jimmy Long (20) looked to be taking the home side to something approaching parity as they reached 93 for 4 in the 20th over before the introduction of former Irish international Jordan McGonigle changed the momentum of the game.

He broke the 5th wicket stand and also dismissed Crumley as the wheels came off the reply. Jordy took 2 for 8, while Jacob Black claimed 3 for 1 as the last 6 wickets added just 11 runs to be 104 all out.

With a significant 59-run lead, Donemana batted steadily throughout their second innings with a fine half century from Roy McGerrigle taking Donemana to 150 for 9 and an overall lead of 213, despite two wickets for Swarnim Jha (2-21).

It will take a fair bit of chasing on the large Bready ground but with conditions ideal for batting, they will certainly give it a go.
