Mark Adair and Paul Stirling were both on the winning side as the Abu Dhabi T10 got underway on Thursday.

There were mixed fortunes for the duo, with Adair claiming the wickets of Shevon Daniel and Jimmy Neesham on his way to 2 for 14 as Abu Dhabi restricted Ajman Bolts to just 79 for 8.

However, Paul Stirling went for a golden duck in the reply, but a half century for Phil Salt and an unbeaten 22 by Johnny Bairstow ensured an emphatic 9-wicket win in the sixth over.

Two other Irish internationals are particpating in the tournament - all-rounder Curtis Campher and left-arm paceman Josh Little.

The Pembroke man was also in action on the opening day, claiming 1 for 14 in a losing cause for Bangla Tigers.
