Ireland Under 19's continued their preparations for upcoming matches against England and Bangladesh with a convincing 133-run win against the Emerging Knights at Belmont.

James West (53) and Freddie Ogilby (27) added 76 for the first wicket to set Pete Johnston's side on their way to a good total.

Rob O'Brien was yet again in the runs as he top-scored with an unbeaten 80 from 77 balls (8 fours) adding 74 for the 5th wicket with Ethan Marshall (36) in a total of 267 for 9 - two wickets each for Alex Armstrong, Mo Aahil, and Carson McCullough.

The chase never really got going with only Seb Yeates 44 (7 fours) offering any threat.

The Knights cause wasn't helped by three run-outs including both openers, while there were two wickets for Seb Dijkstra and Dan Murray.

It's a return match at Belmont again on Thursday before Ireland face Leinster Bolts next week.
