Prabhu stars as Adamstown chase down Terenure

Prashanth Prabhu produced a superb unbeaten 90 as Adamstown chased down 224 to defeat Terenure by four wickets.

Terenure had posted a competitive 223 with several batters making useful contributions.

Australian overseas player Sophie Reid made a patient 39 from 53 balls, while Kripesh Shetty provided the late impetus with an unbeaten 44 from 50 deliveries, striking four fours and two sixes.

Sidharth Nair had earlier injected momentum with a rapid 27 from just 16 balls, while Gareth Morgan contributed 24 and Mick Cotter 20.

Adamstown shared the wickets around, with Shravon Biju, Aryan Adelkar, Prabhanshu Kamal and Jaivir Singh all claiming two apiece.

The chase did not begin smoothly, Adamstown slipping to 52 for three after the losses of Biju, Angad Bawa and Kamal.

Prabhu then took control, first adding 52 with Dinesh David, who made 27, before continuing to build partnerships through the middle order.

Niranjan Muthu added 16 and Nithin Namburu 14, but at 180 for six the contest remained finely balanced.

Abhishek Sam then joined Prabhu and the pair calmly finished the job with an unbroken seventh-wicket stand of 44.

Sam struck an unbeaten 29 from 26 balls, including three fours and two sixes, while Prabhu's match-winning 90 came from 89 deliveries with seven fours and two maximums.

Adamstown reached their target in the 39th over to complete an impressive run chase.
