Maritz inspires Holywood into All-Ireland final
Lara Maritz produced a superb all-round display as Holywood Women booked their place in the All-Ireland Women’s T20 Cup final with an eight-wicket victory over Bready.

The Irish international ripped through the Tyrone side’s top order, removing Ella Wasson, Millie Spence and Alana Dalzell in a devastating opening burst before later dismissing top scorer Sophie Hamilton for 20.
Maritz finished with four for 18, while Nina Kerr claimed two for 23 and Madison Landsman two for 13 as Bready were bowled out for 102 in 18.3 overs.
Hamilton and Tiara Mitchell, who made 14, had added 34 for the seventh wicket to give Bready some hope after their early collapse.
Holywood’s reply was built around a 57-run opening stand between Landsman and Erin Bond.

South African overseas player Landsman struck three fours and three sixes in a rapid 34 from 30 balls, while Bond contributed 20.
Both fell with the score on 57, giving Bready a brief opening, but Maritz quickly ended any thoughts of a comeback.
She struck five boundaries in an unbeaten 29 from just 16 balls, with Christina Soulsby making 13 not out, as Holywood reached their target in the 17th over to seal a comfortable victory, and set up a clash with holders and three-times champions Merrion on Sunday week at Waringstown.
