Suriname have moved close to securing promotion to Americas Division One after two more wins in Division Two yesterday in Florida.

Batting first in their morning match against the Bahamas, Suriname scored 142-4 from their 20 overs, Wasim Haslim top scoring with 32. Only three of the Bahamas batsmen were able to reach double figures in their reply as they were bowled out for 88, Sauid Drepaul taking 4-14.

In the other match of the morning, the Cayman Islands batted first after winning the toss in their match against Argentina, which was reduced to 19 overs. Omar Willis top scored for them with 37 as they scored 103-7. Estaban MacDermott took 4-23, his fourth wicket coming when he was accidentally allowed to bowl a fifth over. Argentina were bowled out for 71 in reply, losing by 32 runs.

The Caymans then came up against Suriname in the afternoon, with Suriname batting first after winning the toss. Suriname were kept to 103-9 from their 20 overs, but that was a winning score as the Caymans were restricted to 88-6 from their 20 overs.

The other match of the afternoon was a low scoring affair, with Argentina only able to score 90-7 from their 20 overs. The Bahamas chased down their total in 17.5 overs to win by 6 wickets, Ryan Tappin scoring an unbeaten 39.
