Ireland's Test against Zimbabwe this summer has been confirmed for Belfast in July (25-29), but six planned white-ball matches against the same opponents have been scrapped.

Those white-ball games - due to also be played at Stormont as well as Bready have gone, joining the Australia games which had earlier in the year been postponed until an unspecified later date.

Heinrich Malan's senior side will travel to the UAE to play SA in five white-ball games - it's believed a broadcast deal is in place for the matches, and the superior quality of the opposition are factors in the prioritisation of that series over Zimbabwe.

It's not all doom and gloom for Bready though as they will help host a West Indies U23 Academy side which will play three one-day and two four-day matches as part of their reciprocal tour.

Pakistan are here to play three sold-out T20's at Clontarf - albeit at a limited capacity of under 2000.

It's T20 all the way in the early summer as they take part in a tri-series with Netherlands and Scotland before the T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies.

Ireland Women have 11 home games lined up with Stormont hosting Sri Lanka and England for six ODI's, while Pembroke and Clontarf will host the same opponents in T20 series.

Cricket Ireland have budgeted for a surplus of 480,000 euros, planning to reduce their five million dollars owed to the ICC.

In other news, Warren Deutrom confirmed on the Last Word podcast that they have returned one of the two Teslas bought, and that David Richardson will join the Board once ratified at the AGM this Sunday.
