Preparation for this year's Men's T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA continues, with Oman beating Papua New Guinea in a three match T20I series this week in Al Amerat.
Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood won the toss and chose to bowl first in the first game on Wednesday, with the tourists scoring 136-6 from their 20 overs, Assad Vala top scoring with 40. Kashyap Prajapati top scored in the Omani run chase with an unbeaten 57 whilst Zeeshan Maqsood scored 42 as they won by three wickets with three balls to spare.
Khalid Kali top scored for Oman as they batted first in the second game on Thursday, reaching 55 as part of their total of 145-7. Sese Bau scored an unbeaten 65 and Assad Vala 51 as the visitors won by eight wickets with four balls to spare.
The tour concluded yesterday with PNG batting first in the decider. Hiri Hiri scored an unbeaten 53 to help them post 127-6 from their 20 overs. Khalid Kali top scored for Oman with an unbeaten 32 as they secured a four wicket win with an over to spare.
Earlier, the tour started with two 50-over games, with each side winning one each as they get ready for their respective ODI World Cup pathway events.
