Jersey are looking like odds-on favourites to win European sub-regional qualifier B as the tournament continued today in Germany.

The Channel Islanders took on Belgium in the second of three games today, and were put into bat by their opponents. Charlie Brennan top scored with an unbeaten 40 from 22 balls, with contributions also coming from Nick Greenwood (36), Asa Tribe (33) and Jonty Jenner (31). Their final total was 198-7.

Belgium batted out their overs in reply, but could only manage 90-9, losing by 108 runs. Ben Ward was the pick of Jersey's bowlers with 4-12.

Earlier, the match between Croatia and Serbia was reduced to an 18 over game, with Croatia batting first and scoring 103-9. Zach Vukisc top scored with 40 from 26 balls, with Christopher Turkich's 20 their only other double digit score. Serbia could only manage 75-8 in reply, losing by 28 runs with Luke Potthof and Daniel Turkich both taking three wickets.

In the final game of the day, Gibraltar batted first against Slovenia and scored 136-9 from their 20 overs, skipper Avinash Patel top scoring with 31. The match proved to be a close one with Slovenia taking until three balls from the end to reach their target, winning by just one wicket.
