Norway are closing in on a place in the final of the ongoing European sub-regional B tournament that forms part of qualifying for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup.

Put into bat by hosts Germany, they lost captain Raza Iqbal from the first ball of the match, but recovered to post 162 before they were bowled out. Fayaz Khan took 5-19 for the home side, whilst Khizer Ahmed top scored for the visitors with 40 from 19 balls.

Fayaz Khan scored 64 from 35 balls in the German reply, but there were no other scores of note and they were bowled out for 151, losing by 11 runs. Sher Sahak and Qamar Mushtaque both took three wickets for Norway.

In the following game, Gibraltar batted first against Sweden but could only manage 99-9 from their 20 overs. Sweden had little trouble chasing down their target, chasing it down in 9.2 overs to win by eight wickets. Imzal Zuwak top scored with 45 from 23 balls and Ajay Mundra contributed 42 from 19 balls.

In the final game of the day, Switzerland batted first against Serbia and scored 146-9, Idrees Ul Haque top scoring with 34. Abdullah Rana then took 3-16 and Serbia were bowled out for 106, losing by 40 runs.

Tomorrow, Jersey can secure their place in the final with a win in their match against Croatia. This will be followed by Belgium taking on Serbia, with the day ending with hosts Germany coming up against Slovenia.
