Canada have beaten Oman in their latest CWC League 2 match to go level on points with the Netherlands at the top of the table.
Put into bat, Canada lost openers Aaron Johnson and Navneet Dhaliwal cheaply, before Pargat Singh and Harsh Thaker added 66 for the third wicket.
Singh was the man out at that stage having scored 42, before Thaker and captain Nicholas Kirton put on 113 for the fourth wicket before Kirton was out for 57, scored from 50 balls.
Thaker took his score to 93 before he was the sixth wicket to fall, with contributions further down the order coming from Saad Bin Zafar (22 from 15 balls) and Dilon Heyliger (37 not out from 14) to help take the Canadian total to 276-8 from their 50 overs.
Like the Canadians, Oman also lost both their openers cheaply, with Prajapati out for a duck and Singh out for five. Both wickets were took by Kaleem Sana and were separated by Heyliger removing Omani captain Aqib Ilyas. Heyliger also removed Pratik Athavale for a duck, leaving the visitors firmly on the backfoot on 17-4.

The rest of the Omani batting line-up offered more resistance, with their highest score coming from number nine Fayyaz Butt with 44 before he became the third of Heyliger's wickets. His fourth wicket came two balls later when he removed Kaleemullah to secure a 59 run win for the home side.
Canada are back in action on Sunday when they take on Nepal, with Oman playing the same opponents on Tuesday.
