Tanzania and Malawi look to be the front runners for the two spots available in next year's African final qualifier for the 2026 men's T20 World Cup as both won again today in Dar-es-Salaam.
In the morning session, Mali won the toss and chose to bat first against Cameroon but were bowled out for 57 with only two batters reaching double figures, both of whom were out scored by extras. Idriss Tchakou was the pick of the Cameroon bowlers with three wickets for just four runs. Cameroon knocked off the required runs in 8.5 overs to win by six wickets.
The other game in the morning session saw Malawi put into bat by Ghana captain Obed Harvey and score 113-5. The main contributions came from Donnex Kansonkho (32) and Gershom Ntambalika (34). Moazzam Baig then took 3-8 as Ghana were bowled out for 88, giving Malawi a 25 run win.

The hosts took the field for the lone afternoon game and chose to bat first. Knocks of 45 by Omary Kitunda and 36 by Amal Rajeevan helped them post a total of 183-7 from their 20 overs. Lerotholi Gabriel contributed 33 in the Lesotho reply but the next highest score was seven and they were bowled out for 61, losing by 122 runs. Laksh Bakrania was the pick of the bowlers with 3-9.
After a rest-day tomorrow Tuesday will see Ghana play Lesotho in the morning before the afternoon session sees hosts Tanzania take on Cameroon and Malawi play Mali.
