The upcoming fixtures for the Ireland Women’s side will be ratified at the Cricket Ireland Board meeting on Wednesday but already confirmed is the qualifying tournament for the T20 World Cup in May in the UAE and this summer home series against Sri Lanka and England plus a T20 series in the Netherlands.
The Board meeting will also confirm Stormont as the venue for Ireland Men’s second home Test match, due to take place in August.
Since Ireland were granted Full Member status by ICC in 2017, Ireland have played seven Test matches but only one at home, their inaugural five-day match against Pakistan in Malahide in May 2018.
Six years on, mainly due to the cost of Ireland hosting a multi-day international, the wait for another home Test will end with the Belfast venue to be given its biggest ever game.
Zimbabwe are also due to play three one-day internationals and three T20Is on their tour and those games have been scheduled for Bready in a busy summer of cricket for the men’s side, with the T20 World Cup in the USA, at the beginning the June the highlight.
Before that they will play three T20Is against Pakistan and afterwards, South Africa and Australia will be hosted either side of Zimbabwe for white-ball series.
