28 June Semi-final: Brigade v Donemana (Beechgrove)
28 June Semi-final: Coleraine v Newbuildings (Sandel Lodge)
NW Premiership
Brigade lost to Coleraine by 6 wickets.
Beechgrove, 22 June.

Coleraine returned to the top of the Premiership with a superb chase to beat Brigade at Beechgrove, making up for the disappointment of their last wicket loss against Newbuildings. Brigade looked out of sight at the half-way point after they made 291 in 45 overs, with Scott Macbeth hitting 88 ( 4fours, 7 sixes). He shared a stand of 116 in 13 overs with Ifty Hussain who made 86. Scott Campbell and Rory Knox each took three wickets. Paddy Carson made a fluent 34 at the top of the order, but three wickets for Macbeth had the game seemingly taking its natural course at 83 for four, The Bannsiders obviously hadn't read the script and proceeded to turn things on their head. Marcus Poskitt hit an unbeaten 111 from just 97 balls (11 fours, 6 sixes) adding an unbroken 210 with ex-Brigade (and a few others) batsman David Cooke. The Irish international has been pivotal in Coleraine's success this season, and his tenth four took him to his century as the six wicket win was achieved with 15 balls to spare. As David Coleman used to say - quite remarkable..
NW Premiership
Ardmore lost to Donemana by 7 wickets
The Bleachgreen, 21 June.

Donemana went to the top of the Premiership with a relatively comfortable seven-wicket win against Ardmore at the Bleachgreen. The hosts reached 98 for 2 with Junaid Ali making 50 (9 fours) but they were bowled out for 184 with three wickets for Andy McBrine and two apiece for captain Gary McClintock and Anuj Jotin. Jamie Huey (31) and McClintock (24) shared an opening stand of 57, while Raymond Curry made an unbeaten 47 sharing a third wicket stand of 73 with Anuj Jotin (30). Andy McBrine also made 21 not out as they eased to the win in the 34th over.
NW Premiership
Bready lost to Brigade by 120 runs
Magheramason, 21 June.

Brigade's middle-order was to the fore as they beat Bready by 120 runs. Anuk Fernando top-scored with 75 (6 fours, 1 six), adding 71 for the fourth wicket with Scott Macbeth (50) and 99 for the fifth with Cameron Melly - who hit a 48-ball 63 (9 fours, 1 six) as Brigade posted 270 for 9. Teenager Travis Faulkner impressed with four wickets. The chase never got going as Bready were bowled out for 150 - Ian Young made a defiant 50, while there were two wickets apiece for Andy Britton, David Barr and Scott Macbeth.
NW Premiership
Newbuildings beat Coleraine by 1 wicket.
Foyleview Arena, 21 June.

Coleraine were knocked off the leaders slot with an agonising one-wicket loss at Newbuildings. David Cooke's 82 (11 fours, 2 sixes) took the Bannsiders to 225 for 9 - runs too for Louren Steenkamp (32). The hosts looked dead and buried as wickets for Gareth Burns (3-38) and Stephen Hutchinson (2-39) had them 116 for 7 and 139 for 8. However, Charlie Downey joined former skipper Gareth McKeegan with the latter hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes in a top score of 57. When he fell, 43 were still required, but Downey hit seven fours in an unbeaten 44 to win the game with number 11 Jack McIntyre (18*) in a real thriller of a game.
NW Premiership
Strabane beat Eglinton by 2 wickets
Strabane Park, 21 June.

Another close game was at Strabane Park where it took to almost 8.20pm before the home side clinched a two-wicket win over Eglinton. The match was a tale of two hundreds as Eglinton recovered from 76 for 5 to score 232. Captain Jamie Millar hit 10 fours and two maximums in an unbeaten 116 - half his side's score- sharing stands of 76 with Jack Martin (44) and an unbroken 9th partnership of 76 with Mark Averill. The chase was all about Strabane's Sri Lankan professional Ranjitha Liyanarachichi whose even time 113 included 15 fours and a six. Mark Averill's (4-40) late burst set up a tense finale, but no better man for a crisis than John Mooney, who got the REd Caps over the line with eight balls left.
NW Championship
Bonds Glen beat Glendermott by 78 runs.
Bonds Glen, 21 June.

It was the Divan Posthumus show at Bonds Glen as the South African overseas player hit 17 fours and 7 sixes in a brilliant 148 as Bonds Glen recovered from losing two wickets in the first over to make 327 for seven. Posthumus added 218 for the fourth wicket with Sam Haslett (68), while Stephen Dunn added a late 27. Posthumus and Dunn were also among the wickets as Glendermott were kept to 249 - Ben Mills making 49, and 30's for Jake Montgomery, Alan Johnson and Curtis Ross.
NW Championship
Killyclooney lost to Ballyspallen by 2 wickets.
Killyclooney, 21 June.

Stuart Kennedy was the Ballyspallen hero as his unbeaten 85 (5 fours, 7 sixes) helped Spallen recover from 95 for seven to chase 175 at Killyclooney. Giles Moan's five wickets had put the hosts in a strong position but Kennedy's hard-hit knock keeps Ballyspallen right in the title contention. Arun Visser had hit 5 fours and 6 sixes in his 69, while Kenzie Hall conserved energy by hitting ten fours in 41. Isaac Bird claimed five wickets, while there were three for Pushpender Singh and two for Graham Kennedy.
NW Championship
St Johnston lost to Fox Lodge by 4 wickets.
The Boathole, 21 June.

Fox Lodge top the table after a hard-fought four-wicket win at St Johnston. Barry Scott (40) and David Lapsley's 34 helped the Saints post a competitive 189 for nine. Gayan Maneeshan was in the runs again with 73 (11 fours, 1 six) adding 72 for the fourth wicket with Brian Allen (22). Jonny Robinson (32*) and Ivan McNeill (25) then added 49 in a crucial stand that all but sealed the win despite the best efforts of David Anthony (3-20) and Nathan Cole (2-17).
Round 2: Brigade beat Bready by 7 wickets
Beechgrove, 31 May.

Brigade eased in the semi-finals with a relatively comfortable seven-wickets win against Bready in a game reduced by early rain to 33 overs. David Rankin (40), Ian Young (25) and Gavin Roulston (23) took Bready to 99 for 4, but the tail didn't wag as they lost the last six wickets for 22. DD Barr picked up four wickets, while there were two apiece for Josh Wilson and Iftikhar Hussain. DD (30) and Ifty (24) shared an opening stand of 54 to break the back of the modest target before both perished to successive deliveries. Scott Macbeth rattled a rapid 31 (3 fours, 2 sixes), while Anuk Fernando and Adam McDaid applied the finishing touches to a solid win.
Round 2: Ardmore lost to Donemana by 7 wickets
The Bleachgreen, 31 May.

Donemana had little trouble disposing of Ardmore by seven wickets at The Bleachgreen. Batting first, Harry Zimmermann's unbeaten 61 (6 fours) and 20 from Vuvek Dwivedi were the only highlights of another poor batting effort. Spinners Anuj Jotin and Andy McBrine took three wickets apiece, while there were two each for Levi Dougherty and Gary McClintock in a total of 138. DJ Dougherty went cheaply, but a second wicket stand of 95 in 16 overs between Jamie Huey (28) and Raymond Curry all but settled the tie. Curry continued his recent prolific form with an even time unbeaten 77 (9 fours, 1 six) as Donemana eased home in the 25th over with plenty to spare.
Round 2: Eglinton lost to Coleraine by 137 runs (DLS)
Eglinton, 31 May.

Coleraine's excellent season rolls on as they easily brushed aside Eglinton to win by 137 runs (DLS). Helped by Eglinton's early generosity in terms of extras and dropped catches allowed the Bannsiders to settle and they never looked back after an opening stand of 71 between Craig Averill (53) and Paddy Carson (33). Louren Steenkamp (41), David Cooke (35) and Matty Smyth (23) all chipped in and a total of 249 always looked a challenging one. Even more so given the absence of Liam Doherty, back in South Africa for personal/family reasons. Andy Lucas' elevation up the order saw him make 46 (7 fours) but the weakened Eglinton batting folded to 110 all out. Matthew Hutchinson (5-24) took the bowling honours, while there were also two wickets for Gareth Burns in a one-sided contest.
Round 2: Strabane lost to Newbuildings by 1 wicket (DLS)
Strabane Park, 31 May.

Holders Newbuildings made it through but only just as they won a last-over thriller by one wicket against Strabane. Chasing a revised target of 146 in 43 overs they still needed three when the last over started. Jason Bell was the Newbuildings hero as he thumped the boundary that took his side through in the tense encounter. Early wickets had Strabane on top before Johnny Thompson (38) and Ryan Hunter (36) settled the nerves and edged their way towards the target. Wickets for Andrew Mullen (3-27), John Mooney (2-22) and Kevin Gallagher - who got both JT and Ross Hunter to set up the climax - meant everyone was on the edge of their seats. Earlier Suhan Shirzad top-scored with 45 for the Red Caps, while Aaron Gillespie and Riyan Liyanarachichi each made 20. Jason Dunn, Greg McFaul and Peat Salmon each took two wickets - the latter bowling his full quota for just ten runs. It was a game that will live long in the memory for Jason Bell and his Newbuildings colleagues, who now will have a feeling their name could well be on the trophy again.
Round 1: Ardmore beat Bonds Glen by 7 wickets.
The Bleachgreen, 10 May.

Ardmore had plenty to spare against Bonds Glen at the Bleachgreen as they made light of a 153 target to win by seven wickets. Batting first the Bee Gees couldn't get a partnership going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Johnny Haslett top scored with 45 (5 fours, 1 six) despite being hampered by a hamstring injury that forced him to retire before coming back. Stevie Dunn enjoyed himself with a 24-ball 33 (4 fours, 1 six), but 152 was never going to be enough on a true track and quick outfield. Dunn struck early, but Edrees went to town as he cleared the ropes and well beyond seven times in a 24-ball 63 that ensured the result was going only one way. Bobby Brolly (30) and skipper Harry Zimmermann (36*) shared a third wicket stand of 65 as Ardmore got there at 25 overs. It has to be said the Bee Gees dropped five catches that could have made things a whole lot closer than they eventually were.
Round 1: Strabane beat St Johnston by 7 wickets.
Strabane Park, 10 May.

Strabane got their first win of the season as they accounted for St Johnston in emphatic style. The Donegal side were without Graeme McCarter and struggled against the Red Caps attack from the off. Only Deepak Reddy (22) and skipper David Anthony (16) made any fist of it as they were bowled out for 91 - four wickets for left-arm spinner Andrew Mullen, three for Ranjitha Liyanarachchi, and a brace for Rhys Logue. The chase was more or less routine with Aaron Gillespie (23*) an Liyanarachchi (20*) both making unbeaten 20's.
Round 1: Killyclooney lost to Donemana by 7 wickets
Killyclooney, 10 May.

Donemana made light work of a potentially tricky chase as they safely negotiated their trip to Killyclooney, winning by seven wickets. Aron Visser struck 10 fours and 3 sixes in a 40-ball 65, adding 83 for the second wicket with Giles Moan (45). Alan Colhoun kept the pace going with a 37-ball 55 (5 fours, 5 sixes), but from 230 for 4, the 10-men of Killyclooney's tail didn't wag and they were 246 all out - three wickets for Dwayne McGerrigle. DJ Dougherty went cheaply, but Raymond Curry made 113 not out - sharing century stands with Jamie Huey (40) and Anuj Jotin (64) as they romped to victory with 20 overs to spare.
Round 1: Brigade beat Ballyspallen by 10 wickets.
Beechgrove, 10 May.

Ryan Barr took five wickets and Ifty Hussain scored a rapid half century as Brigade made short work of Ballyspallen at Beechgrove. Barr claimed 5 for 46 and Jamie Millar 3-12 as 'Spallen were bowled out for 118 - Isaac Bird (38) and Kasigo Rapulana (33) their main contributors. Ifty then took centre stage hitting 16 fours and a six in his 69-ball unbeaten 85, sharing an opening stand of 119 with DD Barr (25*) in a one-sided 10-wickets win.
Round 1: Sion Mills lost to Coleraine by 10 wickets.
Holm Field, 10 May.

Gareth Burns' five-wickets haul ensured there was no fairy-tale return for Sion Mills to Senior Cup action as the competition's most successful side were bundled out for just 67. Lee Finlay hit an entertaining 34, but Burns claimed 5 for 9, while David Cooke took 2 for 16 in a one-sided contest. The Bannsiders knocked off the runs with the minimum of fuss, with Patrick Carson hitting 6 fours in his unbeaten 30, while Craig Averill's 29 not out included 5 fours and a six to seal the ten-wickets win in 8.5 overs.
Round 1: Eglinton beat Burndennett by 102 runs
Eglinton, 10 May.

Liam Doherty and Robbie Millar were in the runs as Eglinton racked up the highest total of the day - 301 for 9 - in their 102-run win over Burndennett. Doherty was at his fluent best stroking 10 fours and 6 sixes in a 58-ball 94 that probably deserved a century - his concentration broken by a drinks break. He had dominated an opening stand of 93 in 13 overs with Andy Millar before the left-hander became the first of four wickets for Safi (4-49). Robbie Millar mad ethe most of an early reprieve to hit 11 boundaries in another fine knock of 93, while Jamie Millar chipped in with 25. Burndennett raced out of the traps with an opening stand of 86 between Niall McDonnell (45) and Mark Doherty. Rahmatullah - one of the Tyrone side's two ex-Rushians - showed what he is capable of as he clubbed 8 fours and a six in a 23-ball 42, but three wicket for Robbie Millar, and two apiece for Jamie, Richard Wylie and Liam Doherty ensured an ultimately straightforward win.
Round 1: Fox Lodge lost to Bready by 12 runs
Ballymagorry, 10 May.

Bready were the only Premiership side given a real scare by Championship opposition coming out on the right side of a close fought contest by 12 runs. Batting first the Magherason side were in real danger of an early exit as they slumped to 88 for 7 despite 38 from newly arrived South African pro Josh van Heerdon. Jamie Magee top-scored with 44 (5 fours) adding 40 for the 9th wickets with David Scanlon, and 41 for the 9th with Conor Olphert, and these runs, together with 13 from number 11 Nathan McCombe were to prove priceless. Jason Milligan (35) and Johnny Robinson (25) were two of seven Foxies to get to double figures, but none was able to reach the half century that would have surely won the game. Ian Young took three wickets, while there were two apiece for Nathan McCombe. Gavin Roulston, and Conor Olphert.
Round 1: Glendermott lost to Newbuildings by 7 wickets.
The Rectory, 10 May.

Peat Salmon was to the fore as holders Newbuildings progressed into the last eight with a seven wickets win at Glendermott. Home skipper Alan Johnson hit four sixes in a 27-ball 44 in the Rectory side's 124 all out - five wickets for Salmon, plus two apiece for JT and Charlie Downey. There would have been a slight concern as they slipped to 41 for 3 in the chase, but Salmon thumped 6 sixes and 3 fours in a 24-ball unbeaten 54, adding an unbroken 75 in nine overs for the fourth wicket with Ross Dougherty, whose 30 not out saw him clear the ropes four times as well as hitting a four - saving energy running on a hot day.
