Phoenix beat Malahide by 45 runs
Phoenix Park, 19 July.


Eknoor Singh's 87 and six wickets for Tyrone Kane were the main reasons for Phoenix beating Malahide by 45 runs. Singh hit 11 boundaries in his fine knock, adding 64 for the third wicket with a subdued George Dockrell (23). Nicolaas Pretorius added late impetus with a 23-ball unbeaten 38 (2 fours, 3 sixes) in a total of 227 for 8. Malahide's chase saw runs again for Robbie Foulkes 61 (9 fours, 1 six), while Jeremy Martins made 30 and Alex Brown 25 in a total of 182. Tyrone Kane was the destroyer-in-chief claiming 6 for 33, while left-arm spinner Amish Sidhu took 3-31 in the 45-run win.

Merrion beat Rush by 237 runs
Anglesea Road, 19 July.



Merrion totally outplayed Rush from start to finish as they recorded a thumping 237-run win at Anglesea Road. Stephen Doheny was again in the runs as he top-scored with 105 from 96 balls (9 fours, 3 sixes) sharing an opening stand of 106 with Swapnil Modgill 43 (8 fours). There were runs too for Jamie Forbes 92 (5 fours, 4 sixes), who added 109 in 12 overs with John Anderson who was in scintillating touch, hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes in a 45-ball 76. A final total of 357 for 6 was always going to be out of reach for Rush, who stumbled to 120 - Abidullah Taniwal making 52 of those. Tom Stanton picked up three wickets, while there were two apiece for Max Sorensen and Connor Blaxall-Hill.

Leinster beat Railway Union by 9 wickets
Rathmines, 19 July.


Table toppers Leinster had little trouble disposing of Railway Union as they romped to a nine-wicket win at Rathmines. Batting first, Railway were skittled for just 69 with three wickets apiece for Bilal Azhar and Mark Tonge, while there were two apiece for Ben Mitchell and Jai Moondra. The chase was over by the 12th over with only one wicket to fall - Ben Mitchell for 16. Tom Johnson hit an unbeaten 25, adding an unbroken 46 for the second wicket with Monil Patel (15*).

Cork County v Balbriggan - match abandoned.
Mardyke, 19 July.


The only game to fall foul of the elements was at The Mardyke where Balbriggan were in a tough position on 85 for 4 after 21 overs when the game was abandoned. mark Adrianatos had taken 3 for 8 but was off injured after two balls of his fifth over. Chris De Freitas was there on 24 not out and with Balbriggan's batting depth we will never know just how the game would have panned out. The points ending up being shared with the league approaching the split next weekend.

North County lost to Clontarf by 16 runs
Balrothery, 19 July.



Closest game of the day was at Balrothery where Clontarf kept their title hopes alive with a 16-run win over North County. The visitors recovered from 111 for 6 in the 24th over to post 293 for 7, thanks to a seventh wicket partnership of 150 in 24 overs between Fionn Hand and David Delany. Irish international Hand top-scored with a 76-ball 90 against his old club (10 fours, 4 sixes), while skipper Delany's unbeaten 82 included 10 fours and 2 sixes. Clontarf struck two early blows but the strong middle-order of Eddie Richardson (45), Jamie Grassi (52) and Niall McGovern - who hit 12 fours in his top score of 76 - got the innings back on track. Clontarf dug deep and David Vincent bounced back from an early setback to get three wickets, while there were two wickets apiece for John McNally and Cillian McDonnell.

The Hills lost to Pembroke by 6 wickets
The Vineyard, 19 July.



Pembroke stay in second place after a comprehensive six-wickets win at The Hills. Irish international Gavin Hoey took five wickets as the hosts batting brittleness was again to the fore as they were bowled out for just 127 - Muzamil Sherzad making 36 and Tomas Rooney-Murphy 31. Cian Nulty started the defence of their modest total in dramatic fashion accounting for Tim Tector and Blake McDonald with the first two balls of the innings. Normality was resumed in a third wicket stand of 68 between top-scorer JJ Garth - who hit 7 fours and a six in an unbeaten 49 - and Jack Tector 40 (8 fours). There were runs too for Gavin Hoey who hit five fours in his 29 as victory was secured at the 25 overs midway point.
Semi-final: Leinster beat Malahide by 21 runs

Tom Johnson's half century and four wickets for Jai Moondra ensured Leinster beat Malahide to reach the final. Johnson top-scored with 66 (7 fours, 3 sixes) as he and Joey Carroll (33) added 84 in 8 overs for the fourth wicket to take them to 164 for 6. Jeremy Martins hit ten fours in a well-made 69, but didn't get much support as Malahide were bowled out for 143. Moondra took 4 for 27, while there were three for Saqib Bahadur and two for Ben Mitchell.
Semi-final: Phoenix beat The Hills by 15 runs

George Dockrell scored an unbeaten 101 as Phoenix got the better of The Hills in match were 446 runs were scored for the loss of only eight wickets. The Irish international's 101 came from only 41 balls and included 12 sixes and 4 fours. In total, Phoenix hit 20 sixes - Tyrone Kane clearing the ropes seven times in a 45-ball 89 as Phoenix made 231 for 4. An incredible 76 came in the last three overs of mayhem, but to be fair to The Hills, they made a right go of the chase. Oliver Horlock 73 (7 fours, 4 sixes) and Nathan Rooney 67 (5 fours, 4 sixes) both scored half centuries, while Muzamil Sherzad hit four sixes in a rapid 39. Despite their efforts they ended on 215.
Final: Phoenix beat Leinster by 5 runs.

George Dockrell was again the hero in the final as he made it back-to-back hundreds to help Phoenix squeeze out Leinster by five runs in a real thriller. Dockrell showed no mercy on his old Rathmines team-mates as he helped Phoenix recover from 29 for 3 and 104 for 7 to post 178. Dockrell's unbeaten 114 came from only 54 balls and included 11 sixes and 6 fours. He plundered 74 in the last four overs and that was to prove the difference in a tight contest. Younas Ahmadzai (61) and Ben Mitchell (39) put on 68 in the powerplay, but Phoenix's triumvirate of spinners bounced back with three wickets for Dockrell and two apiece for Ben White and Amish Sidhu. It all came down to the last over with six needed from the last three balls. Joey Carroll (28) holed out and Bilal Azhar was run out the next ball trying to get on strike to give Phoenix the five-run win. They will represent Leinster in the All-Ireland semi-finals next month, with the winners of that tournament going on to Spain for a week next April.
Group A: Pembroke beat Terenure by 4 wickets.

Pembroke finished on a winning note as they beat a spirited Terenure by four wickets at Sydney Parade. Zeeshan Mumtaz made 32 in what looked like a modest total of 122 - three wickets for Olly Riley and Joe Prendergast, plus two for Blake MacDonald. Danny Hogan thumped four sixes in a quickfire 37, but Jinal Khatri' four wickets reduced Pembroke to 83 for 6. Joe Prendergast and Ollie Riley ensured the win with each making unbeaten 30's. Finals day will be held at Sydney Parade on Saturday July 12th, with Leinster taking on Malahide, the winners facing either The Hills or Phoenix - who play at Anglesea Road - later in the day for the right to represent Leinster in the All-Ireland T20 semi-finals.
Group A: Leinster beat Dublin University by 50 runs.
Rathmines, 4 July.



Holders Leinster advanced safely into the last four as they topped Group A courtesy of a 50-run win at home to Dublin University. Monil Patel top-scored with 94 (10 fours, 6 sixes) adding 64 for the second wicket with Younas Ahmadzai (54) and 78 for the third with Tom Johnson (18) as the Rathmines side made 199 for four. Rory Betley raced out of the traps with a hard-hit 68 in 37 balls (9 fours, 3 sixes) as 67 came in the powerplay. Jamie Forbes chipped in with 40 not out (5 fours), but five wickets for Devan Keenan ensured an ultimately comfortable 50-run win.
Group B: Malahide beat North Kildare by 8 wickets.
The Village, 4 July.


Robbie Foulkes all-round efforts were instrumental as Malahide reached the last four with an emphatic 8-wicket win over North Kildare. His four wickets kept the visitors to a modest 117 for 7. He then hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten 60, adding 55 in six overs with Jeremy Martins (28), while there were also runs for Matt Ford (20*) as they clinched the win in the 15th over.
Group B: North County beat Balbriggan by 5 wickets.
Balrothery, 4 July.


There was an entertaining game at Balrothery with four half centuries and a last-ball win for North County in the derby clash with Balbriggan. Jordan Hollard made 69 ( 4fours, 4 sixes) and Greg Ford 65 (8 fours, 2 sixes) in an opening stand of 137 in 14.2 overs, while late runs for Sebastian De Oliveria (22*) took Balbriggan to 181 for 5 - three wickets for Eddie Richardson. The North County innings followed a similar pattern as Jamie Grassi 51 (4 fours, 4 sixes) and Hunter Kindley 50 (5 fours, 2 sixes) put on 91 for the first wicket. The game was right in the balance up the death with Richardson's unbeaten 30 decisive, hitting the last ball to the boundary with two needed.
Group C: The Hills beat Clontarf by 10 runs.

The Hills secured a semi-final berth with a ten-run win in the winner takes all clash against Clontarf at The Vineyard. Victory was set up by a second wicket stand of 116 in 69 balls between top-scorer Oliver Horlock - whose 50-ball 71 included 7 fours and 4 sixes - and Nathan Rooney, whose made a 41-ball 58 (5 fours, 3 sixes) in a total of 172 for six. John McNally took two wickets and it was the tall left-hander who led the Clontarf reply with a fluent 47 (8 fours). Eoghan Delany (31) and Fionn Hand (21) kept Clontarf in the hunt, but The Hills prevailed thanks to two wickets apiece from Sean McNicholl, Cian Nulty and Febin Manoj.
Group C: Adamstown lost to Rush by 40 runs.

Rush finished Group C on a winning note beating Adamstown by 40 runs. Hashir Sultan top-scored with 56 from balls (5 fours, 2 sixes), while Abidullah Taniwal 23-ball 41 (6 fours, 1 six) helped them to 171 for 5 - three wickets for Bradley Fernandes. Prabhanshu Kamal made 35 in the chase, but two wickets apiece for Conor Butterly and Alex Neary restricted them to 131.
Group D: Merrion beat Civil Service by 8 wickets.
Anglesea Road, 4 July.


Merrion ran out comfortable eight-wicket victors over Civil Service at Anglesea Road. Simranjeet Singh made 57 (6 fours, 2 sixes), adding 65 for the third wicket with Amkh Gusain (29) in a CS total of 142 for 6. Stephen Doheny and Adam Rosslee put a huge dent in the target with an opening stand of 114. Doheny hit 7 fours and 4 sixes in a rapid 37-ball 71, while Rosslee's 25-ball 47 (5 fours, 2 sixes) was also pleasing on the eye. Both fell to Aamir Bafanda, but that was the last success as Swapnil Modgill's 22 not out sealed the win in the 12th over.
Group D: Phoenix beat Railway Union by 10 wickets.

Phoenix finished top of Group D after a ruthless 10-wicket home win over Railway Union. A fourth wicket stand of 70 in eight overs between Mark Canniffe (46) and Connor Walden helped Railway to 143 for 6 - two wickets for Amish Sidhu. The target proved no trouble to Phoenix thanks to an opening stand of 144 in 13.4 overs with Shane Getkate hitting 8 fours and 3 sixes in a 45-ball unbeaten 69, while Eknoor Singh almost matched him blow for blow with his 68 not out from 41 deliveries (7 fours, 3 sixes).
Group A: Leinster beat Pembroke by 90 runs.

Leinster ran out convincing 90-run winners against a Pembroke side that were missing the majority of their international players. Monil Patel's 25-ball 42 (3 fours, 3 sixes) was the best of their 171 for six. That proved more than enough as the Sydney Parade side were bundled out for 81, with three wickets apiece for Ben Mitchell and Bilal Azhar.
Group A: Terenure lost to Dublin University by 37 runs.

A third wicket stand of 58 between Macdara Cosgrave and Ryan Smith was the catalyst for Dublin University's 37-run win at Terenure. Cosgrave hit eight fours in a top score of 43, while Smith's 35 included six boundaries as they made 142 for eight - the home side giving ten bowlers a go. David Vincent and Jamie Forbes each took two wickets in the chase that saw Terenure never threaten the target, ending on 105 for six with Sagar Joshi making 42 and Donal Lynch 25.
Group B: Balbriggan lost to Malahide by 6 wickets.

Malahide travelled to Balbriggan and effectively had the game won in the first ten overs as the home side slumped to 51 for seven. Farooq Nasr (30) and Andrew Darroch (22) staged a mini-recovery, but 117 was never likely to trouble the visitors. It's been great to see Davy O'Halloran back in action and among the wickets as he picked up three, while there were two apiece for Jeremy Martins, Andrew Sheridan and Robbie Foulkes. The chase was all about Foukes - one of the stars of the first half of the Leinster season - who hit 11 fours and a maximum in a 51-ball 72, dominating a match-defining third wicket stand of 71 with Jeremy Martins (15) as the six wicket win was sealed in the 17th over.
Group B: North Kildare lost to North County by 56 runs.
The Maws, 20 June.



Jamie Grassi hit 11 sixes and five fours in an unbeaten 115 that helped North County to a 56-run win at North Kildare. Grassi added 92 for the second wicket with Brian Dunphy (48) and 74 for the third wicket with Hunter Kindley (24) in a total of 216 for three. Brandon Morris then took four wickets as The Maws side were kept to 160 for eight.
Group C: Rush lost to Clontarf by 4 wickets.
Kenure, 20 June.


Clontarf have been one of the form teams in Leinster this season and their winning streak continued as they chased 142 to beat Rush with five overs to spare. Finn McGee's 50 was the best of a Rush total of 141 with three wickets for Cillian McDonnell and two apiece for Patrick Xie, David Delany and Mitchell Thompson. Eoghan Delany's 14-ball 33 got the Castle Avenue side off to a flier, and although Conor Butterly took three wickets, Clontarf eased home to win by four wickets.
Group C: The Hills beat Adamstown by 8 wickets
The Vineyard, 20 June.


Oliver Horlock's 67 ensured The Hills had little trouble chasing down Adamstown's modest 120 total, securing an 8-wicket win.
Group D: Phoenix beat Merrion by 6 wickets.
Phoenix Park, 20 June.



Phoenix made it four wins in a row against Merrion as they continue to benefit from the mental scars inflicted in the Irish Senior Cup win last year. Daniel Forkin's unbeaten 54 was the best of Merrion's 144 for seven - three wickets for James Maginnis and two for Tom Malone. Shane Getkate's 47 and 20's from Tyrone Kane, Eknoor Singh and Levon Shields ensured the win with two balls to spare.
Group D: Civil Service lost to Railway Union by 6 wickets.

Rob O'Brien is quickly developing into the mainstay of the Railway Union side,and the Irish youth international was yet again in the runs as he hit an unbeaten 59 to ensure they chased down a modest Civil Service target of 122. Vijay Adhikari had hit a 28-ball 44 in the CS total of 121 that never looked enough.
Group A: Terenure lost to Leinster by 81 runs.

Younas Ahmadzai blasted 7 sixes and fours in a 33-ball 79 to propel Leinster to an 81-run win over nearby Terenure. Ben Mitchell (34) and Saqib Bahadur (31) took the holders to a fine total of 192 - three wickets for Kripesh Shetty and two for Ben Dillon. The total was never in any doubt as Terenure lost wickets early with Joey Carroll, Kaustubh Apsunde and Ben Mitchell in the wickets. Donal Lynch counterattacked briefly with a 19-ball 34 (3 fours, 3 sixes), while Hancke Von Rauenstein made an unbeaten 31 in a final total of 111.
Group A: Dublin University lost to Pembroke by 38 runs.
College Park, 30 May.



There was a high scoring match at College Park where Tim Tector was in the runs again as Pembroke beat Dublin University by 38 runs. Tiger Tim hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in a 49-ball 73, adding 87 for the second wicket with Blake MacDonald who hit 3 sixes and fours in a 28-ball 41. JJ Garth (39) and Gavin Hoey (22) also in the runs as the Sydney Parade side posted 201 for 5. Luke Murray (3-25) and Barry McCarthy (2-32) had the students in disarray, but they battled well to make 163 for 5 - thanks to a fourth wicket stand of 117 in 13 overs between David Vincent - whose 44-ball 51 included 8 fours - and Ryan Smith, who made a 29-ball 42 (3 fours, 2 sixes).
Group B: Balbriggan beat North Kildare by 20 runs.

It was the Chris De Freitas show at Jack Harper Park as the Balbriggan all-rounder top-scored with an unbeaten 87 from 52 balls (6 fours, 4 sixes), sharing a second wicket stand of 110 in 12 overs with Cameron Rowe (43) in a total of 171 for 5. De Freitas then took 3 for 16 to ensure the 20-run win - two wickets for Sebastian De Oliveria.
Group B: North County lost to Malahide by 41 runs.

Matt Ford was at his destructive best as Malahide's short trek to North County was a successful one. Ford hit 8 sixes and 4 fours in a 30-ball 76 to take his side to 181 for 8. Andrew Sheridan chipped in with 31 (5 fours, 1 six), while Hunter Kindley took two wickets against his old side. County's Suliman Safi clubbed 6 sixes in a 26-ball 54, but couldn't get the support needed to challenge the total - three wickets for Robbie Foulkes and Mike Frost, plus two for James Newland ensuring a 41-run win.
Group C: Rush lost to The Hills by 4 wickets.
Kenure, 30 May.


The Hills triumphed by four wickets in a low scoring Fingal derby at Rush. Finn McGee (35) and Craig May (25) rescued their side from 41 for 5 to a semi-respectable 123. Three wickets apiece for Sean McNicholl and Matthew Weldon, plus two for Tomas Rooney-Murphy. Oliver Horlock's 28 got The Hills off to a decent start, but they were made to work hard for the win in the 17th over - two wickets each for Nathan McGuire and Asher Abbasi.
Group C: Adamstown lost to Clontarf by 46 runs.

Clontarf got the better of Adamstown at Airlie park in a match most memorable for Adamstown's Sibu being given out first ball for handling the ball. Ethan Marshall made a run-a-ball 33 as the Castle Avenue side posted 129 for 7 - John McNally chipping in with 21. The home reached 31 for 0 in the chase, then lost three wickets in four balls, including the Sid Biju one. Patrick Xie claimed 3 for 9, while there was two wickets each for Mitchell Thompson and Cillian McDonnell on the 46-run win.
Group D: Civil Service lost to Phoenix by 106 runs.

Tyrone Kane's century made sure the Phoenix Park derby was a non-competitive one as Phoenix overpowered Civil Service by 106 runs. 'TK' cleared the ropes eight times and hit 6 fours in a 48-ball 101, adding 63 in six overs with skipper Adam Chester (19). George Dockrell also made 25 in a total of 191 for 7 - three wickets for Vijay Adhikari. CS in reply were all out for 85, with Ankit Gusain making 33 - three wickets for Amish Sidhu and two apiece for Ben White and Devender Raniola.
Group D: Merrion beat Railway Union by 77 runs.

Merrion ran out comfortable 77-run winners over Railway Union at Anglesea Road. Overseas professional Connor Blaxall-Hill hit four sixes in a 25-ball top score of 44, adding 64 for the fourth wicket with John Anderson, who hit six fours in his 44. There were 20's for Sean Stanton (27*), Max Sorensen (22) and Adam Rosslee (21) in a total of 189 for 6 - three wickets for Liam MacCarthy. The Irish international made 22 in a disappointing Railway reply of 112 - two wickets for Peter Forkin and Sean Stanton.
