The opening salvos of CWC League 2 have certainly been somewhat topsy turvy, with Namibia comprehensively beating Nepal in the opening game being followed by Nepal thrashing the Netherlands on Saturday.
And yet again today the team that got thrashed in the previous game became the team doing the thrashing as the Netherlands bowled Namibia out for 123 before winning by seven wickets in Kirtipur today.
Dutch captain Scott Edwards won the toss and chose to bowl first, with his bowlers keeping Namibia firmly in check throughout their innings.
Pick of the bowlers was Aryan Dutt with the 20-year-old from The Hague becoming the first Dutch bowler to take six wickets in an innings, taking 6-34. Kyle Klein took two wickets, with Roelof van der Merwe and Max O'Dowd each with one. The final total for the Namibians was 123.
The Dutch had little trouble chasing down their target, doing so in 27.2 overs for the loss of three wickets. Michael Levitt top scored with 57.
The next match in this tri-series will be between Nepal and Namibia on Wednesday, whilst the Dutch next play on Friday against the hosts.
