The first round draws for the NW men's and women's senior cups were made on Monday night at BBC Radio Foyle, conducted by recently retired legends Jordan McGonigle and Johnny Thompson.

Tie of the round sees holders Brigade travelling to St Johnston, where their Premiership hopes suffered a fatal blow last year, while the Donegal side also delivered a knock-out blow in the cup at Beechgrove in 2022.

The Nedd will be dreaming of another famous scalp on their return to the competition, 30 years on from their victory over the all-conquering Limavady, as they take on Donemana.

2022 winners Fox Lodge entertain Coleraine in a game that is one of a number difficullt to predict, while there's local pride at stake when Ballyspallen host Eglinton.

Premiership champions Ardmore will be hoping for a cup run after a barren time in the competition - they have been drawn at home to Burndennett.

Bready are another side who will be looking for a decent run, with the two-times winners starting at home to Bonds Glen.

2005 winners Glendermott are on the road to Killyclooney, while beaten finalists in the last two years Newbuildings will be hoping it's a case of third time lucky as they host Strabane.

The first round matches remain at 50 overs per side, with the first round scheduled for Saturday May 11th.
