Following on from their series defeat in Oman, Papua New Guinea travelled to Hong Kong for a tri-series that also involved the hosts and Nepal.
The short tri-series began with a no-result between Nepal and Hong, before Nepal beat PNG by 85 runs in the second game, and PNG beat the hosts by 10 wickets to end the round-robin phase and set up a Nepal v PNG final.
For the final, Nepal captain Rohit Paudel won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok. Tony Ura dominated the early stage of PNG's innings by hitting 61 from 37 balls before he was the sixth man out.
His wicket fell in the 14th over with the score on 113. A late order cameo by Alei Nao - who clubbed an unbeaten 30 from only 10 deliveries - helped PNG reach 171-8 from their 20 overs. Aakash Chand and Kushal Bhurtel both took three wickets.
Nepal lost both openers cheaply early in their reply and never really got going. Sundeep Jora's 17 was their top score as they got bowled out for 85, losing by 86 runs. Four PNG bowlers took two wickets.
PNG now travel to Malaysia for the final leg of their Asian tour. Whilst there they will play two T20Is against the hosts in Bangi, starting on Saturday.
