It was a chastening day for CIYMS in the latest round of matches in the European Championship with a ten-wicket loss against Hornchurch and a last-ball loss against Pak-I-Care.
John Matchett (42) and Max Burton (36) top-scored as CIYMS posted 124/5 in their clash with Pak-I-Care.
It looked to be enough with the Spanish side needing 14 off the last three balls, but Daniel Doyle Calle hit Allen Coulter for three consecutive sixes to clinch the win fo the Spanish side in dramatic fashion.
There was something of a hangover for the NCU side as they could only manage 73 for 8 in their match against Hornchurch.
That proved no trouble at all as the English side knocked off their modest target just past the half-way mark to seal a bonus point win.
CIYMS will look to bounce back on Wednesday as they take on defending champions Dreux of France and Jersey's Old Victorians.
