Scotland's skill at bringing rain to the UAE evidently extends to the women's national team as both matches in the T20I qud series - also featuring the hosts, USA and Netherlands - have been washed out.

Scotland's men's team have previously been involved in three of the four washed out ODIs in the UAE, most recently during last months CWC League 2 tri-series.

Scotland were due to play the USA later today, with the hosts due to play the Netherlands. Tomorrow, Scotland are due to play the Dutch with USA taking on the hosts, but prospects of play are bleak, with UAE schools having placed pupils on distance learning and the national meterology centre issuing a weather alert about potential hail and flooding over the next three days.

Scotland's cricketers would be forgiven for singing a few choruses of a certain song by the Scottish band Travis - it does always seem to rain on them, especially in the UAE.
