- Coach: Jonathan Garth
- Players in: Nic Sloan, Luke Callanan, Matthew Vercoe-Curtis.
- Players out: Peter Francis (Merrion), Dev Ranolia (Phoenix)
Leinster will be led on the field by captain Bilal Azhar and he will be aiming for some more silverware in 2024 after their Irish Cup success last season.
Leaving are Peter Francis who has joined Merrion, while Dev Ranolia is Phoenix bound.
Incomings are Australians Luke Callanan and Nic Sloan – a lawyer at Arthur Cox – as well as New Zealander Matthew Vercoe-Curtis.
“We’re excited to have Jonathan Garth on board as our new coach,” said influential all-rounder Joey Carroll. “His experience and knowledge will be invaluable.
“We have several younger players worth keeping close tabs on including Jai Moondra, who is a very quick left-arm fast bowler who got a serious injury early in 2023. He is back to 100 percent and is raring for this season so should be exciting to see him in full flight.
“Mark Tonge has had a big off-season, we expect him to take his game to a new level, while Luke Callanan, a right-arm fast Australian under 19 squad member this year has undoubted quality.
“As we approach the new season, we’ve been putting in the hard work to build on last year. The competition is tougher than ever with some strong teams in the mix.”
