Malahide

  • Captain: James Newland
  • Head Coach: Graham Ford
  • Players out: Hunter Kindley
  • Players in: Jeremy Martins, Jonathan Tall, Jordan Holard.
  • Young players to watch Matthew Langan and Adam Doyle.

The demise of YMCA has led to many players seeking pastures new, but the signing of Graham Ford as Head Coach by Malahide where he will hook up with his son Matt is perhaps the most significant.

“Our squad is looking good for the season,” said skipper James Newland. “Whilst we've lost a few players, we have gained new players also.

“Jeremy Martins takes over the CDO role in the club replacing Hunter Kindley. We also have the additions of Jordan Holard, who is a young South African all-rounder as well as gaining Jonathan Tall from The Hills, which gives us a nice balance of experience and youth.

“Younas Ahmadzai and Jeremy Martins are both potential match winners, while youngsters Matthew Langan and Adam Doyle have great potential.

“We are all looking forward to a great season under the guidance of Graham, harbouring genuine hopes of winning silverware this season.”
