The latest edition of the Continental Cup in Romania took place this past weekend, with Bulgaria, Gibraltar and Hungary taking on the hosts in the T20 tournament, though games played by Hungary did not carry T20I status.
Hungary went unbeaten in the round robin stage, topping the table ahead of Gibraltar in second and hosts Romania in third. Bulgaria went winless and finished last.
The top two teams met in the final on Sunday, with Gibraltar put in after Hungary captain Vinoth Ravindran won the toss. Both Gibraltar openers fell cheaply, but Gibraltar recovered to post a competitive 150-8 from their 20 overs. James Fitzgerald top scored for them with 38 from just 19 balls.
Sheikh Rasik then smashed 69 from only 31 balls to help Hungary secure an eight wicket win in just 12.5 overs to take home the Continental Cup title.
Earlier in the day Romania scored 192-6 in the third place play-off against Bulgaria before bowling their opponents out for 118 to win by 74 runs.
