Lisburn and Waringstown will meet in the final of the NCU T20 competition on Sunday July 21st at The Lawn.

Waringstown beat Woodvale by 12 runs
Waringstown 163-6 (20 overs; Greg Thompson 82*; Ruhan Pretorius 2-37)
Woodvale 151-8 (20 overs; Ruhan Pretorius 50, Ludwig Kaestner 28; James Cameron-Dow 3-27, Josh Froggatt 3-33, Ben Snell 2-33)

A fine innings by Greg Thompson and a disciplined bowling display helped holders Waringstown edge out in-form Woodvale by just 12 runs in an entertaining contest. Thompson hit 7 fours and 4 sixes in his unbeaten 82, adding 83 for the 6th wicket with James Cameron-Dow (19) - 35 coming from the last two overs, and that was to prove the difference in a tight battle. Pretorius yet again was in the runs, his half century taking Woodvale into a strong position at 112 for 2. However, scoreboard pressure told, with Froggatt (3-33) getting the crucial wicket of Pretorius, and with JCD also picking up three wickets and Ben Snell two, Waringstown closed out the win. The final is scheduled for The Lawn on Sunday July 21st, preceded by the Trophy final between Lurgan and Donacloney Mill.

CIYMS lost to Lisburn by 4 wickets
CIYMS 171/5 (20 overs; Carson McCullough 47*, Ross Adair 25; Neil Whitworth 2-23)
Lisburn 172/6 (19.3 overs: James Hunter 81, Johnny Waite 46; Tyron Koen 2-25, Allen Coulter 2-26, Mark Best 2-28)

Lisburn heroes Jonathan Waite and James Hunter (CricketEurope)

James Hunter and Jonathan Waite helped Lisburn knock out All-Ireland T20 champions CIYMS in a pulsating encounter at Belmont. Carson McCullough's hard-hit 47 had set a tough target of 172, and with early wickets for Allen Coulter and Tyron Koen reducing Lisburn to 31 for 3, it looked like the game was up. However, Hunter thumped 7 sixes and 7 fours in a 41-ball 81, adding 99 for the 4th wicket with Waite, whose 46 included 6 fours and 2 sixes. Seven were needed from the last over, and following a single and a dot, Josh Manley deposited one over the ropes to seal a dramatic win.
