Scotland have secured their place in next year's Women's Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia and Thailand after securing a series win over the Netherlands with a game to spare at Mannofield Park in Aberdeen.
The first match took place on Thursday, with the visitors batting first after losing the toss. Only Myrthe van den Raad (10) reached double figures as the Dutch were bundled out for just 41. Masie Maciera and Kirsty McColl both took three wickets, conceding 11 and 7 runs respectively.
The Scotland opening pair of Pippa Kelly and Emma Walsingham then knocked off the runs without loss in 4.5 overs, Kelly scoring 26 of them.
The Netherlands won the toss in yesterday's second game and - suprisingly, given their capitulation in the first game - chose to bat first. There was improvement though as they batted out their overs to score 89-8. Captain Carljin van Koolwijk top scored with 26, whilst Kirsty McColl again took three wickets for Scotland.
Scotland had little trouble chasing down their target, doing so in 13.5 overs to win by six wickets. Pippa Sproul top scored with 29, with Emma Walsingham contributing 25.

Scotland join the eleven full members with women's programmes (Afghanistan the absentee from that group) plus East Asia Pacific qualifiers Samoa and USA - the only eligible Americas region associate in the main event next year in Malaysia and Thailand. Neither host nation has been announced as having automatic entry, meaning that at least one - possibily both - will miss out.
The series between Scotland and Netherlands will conclude tomorrow.
