The women's ODI tri-series in the Netherlands continued today with Scotland taking on Papua New Guinea in Utrecht and winning thanks to a maiden international century from Saskia Horley.
PNG captain Brenda Tau won the toss and asked Scotland to bat first. Opener Horely dominated a series of partnerships at the start of their innings, though it wasn't until the fall of fhe fifth wicket that she found someone to join her for a significant amount of time.
Katherine Fraser came in at number 7 and she and Horley added 82 before Horley fell for 100 from the last ball of the 44th over. Fraser kept up the run scoring, adding 53 with Ellen Watson with no further loss of wicket, taking her own score to an unbeaten 74 from 75 balls, her first score over fifty in international cricket, as Scotland scored 258-6.
