Scotland's women have won another tri-series in the Netherlands ahead of Papua New Guinea and the hosts, completing their tour with a win over the Dutch in the last game yesterday.
The tri-series started on Wednesday with a game between the Netherlands and PNG, with rain washing out the game after the home team had scored 66-1 in 8.2 overs, Iris Zwilling scoring an unbeaten 42 from 28 balls.
In the second game, Scotland batted first against Papua New Guinea and scored 117-7 from their 20 overs. Priyanaz Chatterji and Darcey Carter were the main contributors with 32 and 30 respectively. PNG captain Brenda Tau top scored in their reply with 39, but the next highest score was the 16 extras conceded by the Scots. Chloe Abel took 3-14 to bowl PNG out for 101 and secure a 16 run win.
Chatterji and Carter were the main contributors for Scotland again in the final game of the brief tri-series, this time scoring 36 and 54 as their team racked up 145-4 against the hosts. Nayma Sheikh then took 4-14 as the Dutch were kept to 118-9, losing by 27 runs.

Scotland's next cricket will be in the T20 World Cup in October. It seems unlikely that Bangladesh will remain as hosts given the recent unrest in the country, and a decision will be made by the ICC on Tuesday. Neighbouring India have already ruled themselves out as replacement hosts, with UAE and Zimbabwe currently thought to be the two options available.
