Hosts the Netherlands have gone unbeaten in the latest leg of CWC League 2 and end it on top of the table after beating USA by 27 runs.

USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and asked the home side to bat first at VOC, with Michael Levitt and Max O'Dowd opening procedings with a 58 run partnership, which ended when Levitt was out for 33. O'Dowd went on to score 77 before he was out, but the only other score of note was Noah Croes' 27.

All seven bowlers used by the USA took at least one wicket, with Harmeet Singh being particularly effective with his left-arm finger spin, taking 2-25 from his ten overs as the Dutch were bowled out for 206.

USA lost Steven Taylor for a duck in the first over, with fellow opener Smit Patel also dismissed cheaply. Skipper Monank Patel played almost a lone hand, scoring 66 from 79 balls before being caught by Aryan Dutt off his own bowling.

The lower order offered some resistance but were eventually undone by Kyle Klein and Paul van Meekeren who took 4-32 and 3-31 respectively as the visitors were bowled out for 179.

The Dutch now sit on top of the CWC League 2 table ahead of Scotland, who have a game in hand. USA, who only beat Canada in this tri-series, are in fifth place with two wins and two losses. Canada sit in third place after losing all four games in this tri-series after starting their campaign with a perfect four wins in four games.

These three teams will now play a T20I tri-series starting on Friday in Utrecht where the home side takes on Canada. USA's first game is on Saturday, also against Canada.The next tri-series in CWC League 2 will be next month with Namibia hosting UAE and USA and Canada hosting Nepal and Oman.
