Ireland Under 19 Women/Girls opened their short trip to Loughborough with a 34-run win over one of the three ECB XI sides at the tournament, which also features the West Indies and Scotland.
Ireland's newest international Alice Tector top-scored with a 34-ball 42 (5 fours), with runs too for fellow international Amy Hunter, with the skipper hitting four boundaries and a six in her 31 from 22 balls.
Ellie McGee thumped five boundaries in a 14-ball 27, while there were also valuable late runs too for Lara McBride (21) as Ireland posted 153 for 8.
It was a case of 'spin to win' with Clontarf's Freya Sargent and Coleraine's Kia McCartney each taking three wickets as the hosts were bowled out for 119 - Amy Williams (32) and Leicestershire's Prisha Thanawala (27) their main contributors.

Ireland are back in action on Saturday morning when they take on Scotland.
The Under 19's are also flying to South Africa in late October for 5T20I's against the hosts as part of their build-up to next year's Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia.
